There is direct, two-way communication between the gut and the brain. Both mental and physical health can be affected by the health of the gut.
What is gut health?
Gut health refers to the balance of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ bacteria in our gut. Most of the bacteria, fungi and viruses that live in our bodies are found in our gut. They produce many of the chemicals that affect our mood, and imbalances in gut bacteria are associated with various diseases. That’s why maintaining a healthy gut is important for physical and mental health. Find out how CBHS can help you improve your gut health.
