What is depression?
Depression is an intense feeling of sadness, low mood or numbness that may continue for weeks, months or even years, sometimes without any obvious cause. Depression can affect both your physical and mental health, depleting energy and motivation, affecting your relationships and preventing you from enjoying the things you used to enjoy doing.
