We’re thrilled to share some exciting news with you about CBHS Extras cover. After listening to feedback from our frontline heroes and of course, our valued members, we’ve embarked on a journey to improve your Extras benefits experience.
We’re simplifying the Extras benefit structure to deliver a better member experience. Picture this: It’s 29 May 2024 and we’re waving goodbye to the ‘70% of the cost up to the per service limit’ that has long been a part of your Extras policy. We’re ushering in a new era where you’ll receive the 'maximum claimable amount' per service, up to your overall limit. What does this mean for you? Let’s delve deeper.
- If the provider fee is less than the CBHS maximum claimable amount for your service, you can claim the full fee amount.
- If the provider fee is equal to or higher than the CBHS maximum claimable amount, you can claim the maximum claimable amount.
Which Extras products are getting a makeover?
From our Top Extras to the Essential Extras, we’re changing our benefits for the better. If you’re on one of these packages, LiveLife (Gold) and StepUp (Bronze Plus), you’re on the transformation journey too. Check out the table below.
Our KickStart (Basic Plus) package, continues to offer the 'maximum claimable amount' per service on most Extras. Wellness benefits on this package will be moving to the 'maximum claimable amount' per service as well.
What’s not changing?
While we're excited to introduce these enhancements to our Extras benefits, we also want to reassure you that some things will remain unchanged.
- Extras benefits remain unchanged for Prestige (Gold) as this package already offers the ‘maximum claimable amount’ per service
- The benefits on FlexiSaver (Basic Plus) package remain unchanged, as the product offers a different benefit structure
- You must have served applicable waiting periods and have sufficient annual limits remaining
- Overall limits and benefit period remain unchanged.
