In collaboration with Ramsay Health Care, we are pleased to announce the launch of the Ramsay Integrated Cancer Care Program at Sydney’s St George Private Hospital. The pilot program is designed to support members through their cancer journey − both during and after treatment − to help them get back on their feet sooner.
The program provides each participant with a Cancer Care Navigator, who will be in regular contact, helping build a support plan and managing its rollout throughout treatment and recovery.
Research shows that when people with cancer work together with an integrated healthcare professional team, it can effectively support their quality of life, wellbeing, and recovery − during cancer treatment and beyond.
The program contains four primary phases to assist in improving wellbeing during and after treatment.
CANCER CARE NAVIGATOR | up to 5 ALLIED HEALTH SESSIONS (exercise and nutrition) |
HEALTH COACHING PROGRAM | PSYCHOLOGICAL SUPPORT (MINDSTEP subject to further approval by CBHS) |
“CBHS has a long history of helping our members through cancer treatment and providing the wraparound support they need to get back on their feet. We’ve been there for thousands of families over the years. It’s pleasing to now be able to extend this care and support through our partnership with Ramsay, and this high-quality integrated program. We look forward to delivering our members More Care throughout this pilot, and take some of the burden out of a very challenging time”, said, CBHS Group CEO Helen Troup.
